On June 4, 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) results. NEET All India Rank (AIR) 1 has been attained by 67 students this year, with a percentile score of 99.997129. According to several teachers, it is impossible for anyone to get 718 points. You can only receive 716 marks after 720; 718 marks are not achievable.
On this, the NTA has released an explanation. Candidates who claimed to have lost time on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) have been awarded grace marks, according to NTA.
“A few court cases and representations from NEET (UG) 2024 students were received by NTA, expressing worries about time lost during the exam on May 5, 2024. The normalization formula, which was developed and approved by the Hon’ble Apex Court in its Judgement dated 13.06.2018, was put into effect to remedy the time loss experienced by the candidates for NEET (UG) 2024 after the NTA took these cases and representations into consideration.
The amount of exam time lost was calculated, and the applicants who lost out on it were given grace marks. The NTA explained that the candidate’s scores might also be 718 or 719 as a result.
